Lady Bird, The Lighthouse, Hereditary, Midsommar, It Comes at Night: Only a few fantastic films, which Studio A24 has turned the last years. Now is the next there: The Green Knight is a gloomy fantasy epic that can immerse yourself in the Arthurian Sage around a knight of the table round.
The trailer to The Green Knight has reminiscent me at the gloomy manner at the Lord of the Rings: Proud knights, mystical creatures and epic worlds through which the protagonist will lead us. The new Fantasy epic of Studio A24 and director David Lowery accepts the saying of a knight of the table round. Sir Gawain, the nephew of King Artus, pulls out into the old forests full of mystical creatures to defeat the legendary green knight. The journey into foggy fantasy medieval England is peppered with spirits, giants and other creatures which Sir Gawain has to measure.
_Sound recommendation. Looks in the epic trailer to The Green Knight: _
"A strange, fantastic experience" (Source: IMDB)
With the current IMDB rating of 7.8 / 10 The Green Knight increases in the review sky, with the groos of the reviews throughout positive positive: The Green Knight seems to be a sophisticated, but also visually impressive experience Where director David Lowrey (A Ghost Story) remains close to the Middle Ages on Sir Gawain. Be your fantasy lovers or fans of Arthurian say, so you should not be too spoiler - and give this movie a chance in the cinema.
There is this mystical feeling that often says in those saying around King Artus, Merlin and Excalibur: Cool and foggy forests in which the dark green moss never gets really dry; A howl in the distance, merciless rulers for shortly before the ink of the Middle Ages. Arthurian say distinguishes from other fantasy worlds and The Green Knight seems to catch this strange spell. As it looks, the film also creates it.
