Cross-play will be available in a free update after the start.
After warning the fans that the publication of Minecraft Dungeons Microsoft and Mojang have now confirmed that this will actually be the case because the Dungeon Crawler RPG is now prepared for publication at the end of May. During this announcement, Microsoft also has some other details on the game and features that will have it at the start and which is not published.
One of the things that the game _ habit_ at startup is cross-platform multiplayer. However, Microsoft has also confirmed that this is still in preparation and that cross-play will be available on all systems in the "near future" in a free update after the start. There was no precise date or time frame yet, but hopefully it will not take too long after the publication.
Minecraft Dungeons is available on May 26 for Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC.
