EPOS H3PRO HYBRID Review - Costauds headphones with tiny compromise

Original text too short.

Hybrid exam EPOS H3PRO

I will go: The H3PRO Hybrid EPOS is a solid headset in a somewhat congested space of wireless game boxes. Although I'm not an audiophile, I am a good-type earphone adept that do what they do and meet my requirements. The H3PRO Hybrid H3PRO Hybrid achieves most of the goals, but does not meet a few minor aspects. Given its strengths, they are easy to overcome.

I need a pair of earphones that can hold up to my work from 9 to 5, which consists of meetings and more meetings. I want to play at night when I have free time. Wireless is a must for all my devices. Although I'm aware of the degradation of sound via Bluetooth, it's a sacrifice that is worth it if it means that all my desk remains wireless.

The good news is that the H3Pro Hybrid is a game helmet that works well for work and leisure. It has enough features to justify its price without disturbing your bank account. It can handle two audio inputs simultaneously. This is an indispensable feature for most home offices with a secondary function, such as a game PC or a console configuration that allows you to use your phone.

The main wireless audio is via a 2.4 GHz USB or Bluetooth key. There is also a 3.5 mm headphone jack for the clearest sound on any device you want to plug in.

Comfort with less breathability

There is a real finish quality on the plastic. Earphones are lightweight, weighing about 0.6 lbs, and feel fantastic in terms of material and adjustment. I wear glasses, so I pay special attention to the pressure against my head. When the headphones support too hard, I will be in great agony and I will have a just printed show along my temples. These are perfectly balanced, and I did not even feel them against my head during the game sessions during the day or in the evening.

What I noticed — which surprised me — it's the lack of breathability. The atrium material uses faux leather on the fabric for a better sound enclosure. It can be very hot around the ears because the material prevents your skin from breathe. This is not a compromise but visible compared to my Arctic Pro Wireless cans in which I have never transpired.

strong connection

You can connect wirelessly simultaneously via the dongle and use Bluetooth on another device. To hear the audio of the game while taking a phone call is done effectively, so if your mother calls and wants to chat during a match, it does not matter. The volume is managed via a handy wheel on the right side, where you will also find the Bluetooth power button and the active noise removal. On the left ear, you will find a normal diet, a USB-C connection to load (or audio), and a proprietary input for the 3.5 mm jack. You do not know why you need a custom cable for headphone jack, but if you lose yours, you can buy a replacement cable from EPOS.

It should be mentioned that I did not notice any loss of sound quality even leaving the dog going out in the yard or checking out my laundry, which makes me appreciate the constant signal strength. My house is not huge, but it's nice to quickly have water in the kitchen and to be able to hear when a part of halo is about to start.

life of the battery

The overall battery life with the dongle is estimated at 30 hours. With the active removal of the activated noise, it falls at 19 hours. The use of the 3.5 mm cord always requires the power on the headset, which gives you about 29 hours of cable. Most headphones do not need power to enjoy a direct plug-in, so it's a compromise.

I found these quite accurate estimates. I timed 3-4 days of regular use before needing a charge.

A standard LED flashes green, yellow and red depending on the status of your battery and a user-friendly voice prompt when you turn on the headset gives you a percentage.

TERNS MICROPHONE

A big downside is the microphone. It works and does the work, but people at meetings reported background noise from the microphone, which was disappointing. If your space is quiet, it does not matter, but if you are like me and the dog barks a doorbell or a bird, your discord friends can have a little ear. If you need micro insulation due to a noisy zone, I would opt for another helmet.

The microphone pole can be removed to look less like a game device, but the helmet will always use a secondary microphone on the headset. This microphone will capture even more noise, so make sure it's nice and silent before trying it. Lovers of noisy mechanical keyboards, beware. We will hear these strikes.

A small warning is the automatic cancellation of the noise. Honestly, I could hardly tell the difference between turning on and turn off, because the housing around the ears is effective enough to eliminate the ambient noise. I did tests with and off and noticed only a slight difference in auditory noise, so if you really want the ANC to be a critical feature, I would advise you to look elsewhere.

Epos H3Pro Hybrid Review: Performance comes at a price

sound landscape

The default settings of the H3Pro are a warm and low-low preset. I liked the default settings before playing with the software. The songs sound well, even if you will not get the range of frequencies to which you are used to if you come from a DAC and a headphone set mainly for the music. But you can refine it for your optimal preference. The low and middle-minded tones sound in terms of game. Firearms in Halo seemed heavy and environmental sounds were net. The only thing that has not resisted so well for me was the position audio during the 7.1 test via the software. He separates the sound 2.0, which works somehow, but I still felt like missing, even if it's something I put in question with all the pseudo boxes surrounded.

All well considered, the H3Pro Hybrid is a serious competitor in its space. Although it is not a perfect headset — the microphone leaves a lot to be desired, and it is not too breathable — it comes with software to refine the answer and the life of the battery is excellent. The volume management between the two inputs is simple, and the helmet finish is neat. It's a pair that you can wear to walk the dog and do not feel silly, as well as to do office work or jump on the PS5 / Xbox to relax. It is difficult to ask much more than that in our family life today.
