Last Friday, the second season started the Star Trek series Picard on Amazon Prime video. Currently there is only the first episode for retrieval - every Friday another sequence is unlocked. We want to summarize some important things we've learned in the first episode. In addition, we are still concerned about what known faces and elements already to see and possibly can be seen. With the latter we want to start, so that we first exclaim only a very discreet spoiler warning, as we will come to the story later later.
Known faces and season 3
Of course, some of the characters we met in Season 1 again, for example, for example, the Resolute Picard Girlfriend Raffaela "Raffi" Musician (Michelle Hurd) or the Battle Talented Young Romulan Elnor (Evan Evagora), as well as the expert for Artificial life forms. Agnes Jurati (Allison Pill). Even Seven (Jeri Ryan), known as Seven of Nine, is also known as Seven of Nine because of its Borg's past, but was of the game, but was certainly for everyone who knows Star Trek: Voyager, already in the first Picard season no unknown. In the second season of Picard, however, there is a reunion with other performers we already know from Star Trek: The Next Generation.
Already in the first episode, Picard meets Guinan (Whoopi Goldberg), which worked from the second season of Stark Trek: The Next Generation on the Enterprise in the ship's bar, more precisely, she led. The supernatural "sadist q" (John de Lancie) is already honored by Picard in episode 1 of the Second Picard Season.
Not to be seen in the first episode was Data-Actor Brent spiners. But he will be seen in or from one of the upcoming consequences, but in a non-detailed, completely new role. Whether we will see other well-known faces in the coming consequences next to Brent spiners, is currently unknown, as the creators have announced very little in advance of content and performers. However, a third season is already ordered - whether it can really be turned off, but is unclear because of the Covid pandemic, which has already heavily braked the filming of the second season. The now 81-year-old Picard performers Patrick Stewart wants to conclude after the third season.
Star Trek Picard Season 2, Episode 1: What happened?
From here we give a spoiler warning, because we briefly summarize some interesting things of the first episode of the second picard season. The result carries the title Stargazer - this is the name of the spaceship, on which Picard was allowed to exercise the office of Captain for the first time. In the course of the first episode, we see that the Stargazer, in the meantime, of course, a newer version of the ship as recent times of Captain Picard, meet a room anomaly and receives a message. An intelligence requires inclusion in the Federation, but only wants to talk to Picard. The result therefore also ends with that Picard travel to Stargazer to serve as a contact person for the unknown power. We do not want to reveal more at this point.
During the first episode, however, there were some other, remarkable things. So Picard Guinan meets in her bar - but not on the Enterprise or another spaceship, but in the middle of Los Angeles. Above the entrance you can see the house number 10, before a sign with the inscription "Forward Avenue" - this is, of course, a reference to the Enterprise times, because the bar on the flagship was called "10 Forward" as it on the deck 10 in the Front area lay. In German synchronization, the bar called "ten front".
A special moment in the first episode of Picard (Season 2) was also the intimate mood with the Romulan Laris (Orla Brady), the administrator of Picard's estate. After the death of Lari's husband becomes more clearly that Picard and Lari's certain feelings for each other. Picard but does not seem to dare the last step yet. In any case, you can look forward to the other consequences - at least in our opinion. The episode 2 of the second Picard season will be available on Friday, March 11 at Amazon Prime Video, probably already shortly after midnight.
