If you are a horizon captain in APEX legends, you know how useful your tactical ability - Gravity Lift - can be. This ability turns the flow of gravity and raises players 30 meters across the ground and hurls them into the air - which can be useful in both offensive and defensive situations. In his current form, Gravity Lift expresses the players only up - but that was not always the case. The senior software developer of Apex Legends, Chr Chr Winder has revealed that RPAWN has previously tried to make Gravity Lift function in all directions.
In a reddit contribution to legend buffs and Nerfs, Mufasakong 'proposes a horizon buff that would allow players to "attach [Gravity Lift] on every surface", which the players in the direction would push in which shows the tactic.
In response to this, "RV-GamePlayCris" - which we have identified as a Winder - that RPAWN has actually tried this while he has developed Horizon and her kit. "We tried that! It was crazy! And unpredictable, "says Winder. However, it was just "not so funny" when considering how varied the terrain on the maps of Apex Legends.
In the answers to this revelation, the fans continued the discussion and suggested several solutions for this problem. Reddit User, Roonerth 'proposes a change that would allow horizon players to turn the direction of the Gravity Lift in their hand before they use it - an idea that proved to be popular with the fans. However, other fans emphasized the problems that could cause this - and how easy it would be to catapult from the card.
Winder shares more about ResPawn's experiments with Horizons Gravity Lift and explains why this would not be a problem.
From a certain angle, Horizon's tactical ability would expect a lot of tomer than the fans based on what has been tested before their publication. "But it did not stop [IT DID] and slide it in low gravity towards the buoyancy towards the end." Respawn decided that a "fast and reliable tool to get up" is useful as a directed lifting with low gravity.
Horizon was introduced in Season 7 in Apex Legends and lies according to the information conveniently in midfield when it comes to the selection rates Apex Legend status. Do you think these changes would help Horizon to climb our ranking of Apex Legends - assuming ResPawn could solve the problems? We are not so sure.
