FC Bayern: Benjamin Pavard excludes BVB change
Benjamin Pavard from FC Bayern Munich has excluded a future move to Borussia Dortmund. "If I should go one day, not to Dortmund, despite all the respect I have for the club and his fans," he said at RMC Sport. His former defense colleague Niklas Süle joins BVB free of charge this summer.
At Bayern, a position in central defense is released, which Pavard, who has so far mostly wants to take on the right side, will take over the long term. "I can help out on the right side, but my position is a central defender. I want to play central defenders because this has been my position since the U19," he said.
"Very well", Pavard feels as part of a chain of three that coach Julian Nagelsmann kept testing at Bayern at Bayern last season. Nagelsmann himself praised Pavard as a "tactician" and "very good coach": "We play ultra-offensive and are almost three in every game in defense. I like that and that's why I'm at Bayern Munich."
FC Bayern Munich: Gavi continued to focus on
FC Bayern Munich is apparently still interested in Gavi from FC Barcelona. In the event of a failed extension of the contract with Barca, the Münchner are ready, according to the mundo Deportivo, to pay its exit clause of 50 million euros.
The talks between Barca and Gavi's consultant Ivan de la Pena are currently stalling beyond an expansion of the contract beyond 2023. Most recently, the two sides attacked publicly. Here is a detailed message.
