German U17 makes the group victory clear

The German U17 soccer players confidently reached the quarter-finals at the European Championship in Israel. The team of coach Marc-Patrick Meister won 3-0 (0-0) against host Israel in Lod and prevailed with three wins from three games as the leader in group A. Nelson Weiper (59th minute) and Sidney Raebiger (64th/67th) met for Germany.

The quarter -final games will be played next Wednesday and Thursday, the final will take place on June 1st in Netany. German opponent in the coming round is France.

Match broadcast 2022: GER M U19 v SUI M U17 (English commentary) The tournaments 2020 and 2021 in this age group were canceled because of the Corona pandemic. In 2018 and 2019, the German selection was eliminated in the European Championship preliminary round. The last German U17 title so far existed in 2009.
